really, just get the car ready. your catalytic converters should be fine if they are not gutted. follow my instructions. now that your car was tagged as a gross polluter its going to be tougher finding just any shop to smog the damn thing. its going to cost you some $$$. check around and make some calls. some will do a pretest (wont hook up to the send system without checking to see if all is "ok" prior to running the actual test) these guys dont want to loose their license, its their living. why risk it for 50 bucks? stings happen often. run the BG cleaner through it, clean everything up, check for vac.leaks etc. take it for a long drive (this will also clean cats and 02 sensors) ca smog laws are a pain for all. dont disconnect that damn egr!! savy shops KNOW how to check for a functioning egr anyway..
